Scott winter gear

What up friends?
Sorry to take so long to get on here but I've had some problems with my internet and router set up. I make no claim to know what the f@#k is going on here!

Anyway, I went on to the Freeskier Magazine web site the other day and saw that the 1st issue was at the press and about to be released and immediately I asked myself.."did I remember to send in my $$ last year to renew my subscription?" But then I remembered saying to myself "Oh yea, don't you remember that yellow LAST REMINDER statement that Freeskier had sent you." Needless to say I made the payment of $5 and renewed my sweet, sweet membership for one more year. Seriously, I don't know what I would do without that publication of awesome photo's and fun stories.

So I received my first issue in the mail a few days later and as we all know, the first issue is always the "Buyer's Guide." I love the buyers guide. The guys and gals test and review every product, then we get to see every companies graphics and read about who flops and who is the cream of the crop.

Well for all of you who don't know, Freeskier has what they call the "Editors Picks" for the buyer's guide and guess who was getting all sorts of props? You guessed it. Scott USA.

The Scott Punisher came in at the top of the list for the All Mountain Ski category and was given rave reviews from the testers who do everything they can to break the skis spirit. These skis are not easy to find, but if you head over to GoBallzout.com, we got a pair for ya!

The Scott Foil park/pipe glove was another "Editor's Pick." Seriously check these things out. These gloves are HOT!

What about goggles you ask? How about the Scott Schmuck Taylor Alias goggle. Representing all you cool cats out there who don' t want to pay mega buck for crappy shoes... you've got your trusty Chuckers. Well now you've got a goggle that fits your slick style and not to mention was yet another "Editors Pick."

If you don't believe me, check it out yourself. After that, come buy one of each @ the dopest shop around, GoBallzout.com

Peace Out!

Winter weather? Almanac says 'Numb's the word!'
By JERRY HARKAVY

Associated Press Writer
LEWISTON, Maine --
People worried about the high cost of keeping warm this winter will draw little comfort from the Farmers' Almanac, which predicts below-average temperatures for most of the U.S.

"Numb's the word," says the 192-year-old publication, which claims an accuracy rate of 80 to 85 percent for its forecasts that are prepared two years in advance.

The almanac's 2009 edition, which goes on sale Tuesday, says at least two-thirds of the country can expect colder-than-average temperatures this winter, with only the Far West and Southeast in line for near-normal readings.

"This is going to be catastrophic for millions of people," said almanac editor Peter Geiger.

The almanac predicts above-normal snowfall for the Great Lakes and Midwest, especially during January and February, and above-normal precipitation for the Southwest in December and for the Southeast in January and February. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions will likely have an unusually wet or snowy February, the almanac said........
